Dog Photography in Kent — Fun, Natural Portraits of Your Best Friend
Capturing the Bond You Share With Your Dog
“How much do we love our dogs? This is mine — Sunny, a mad old Staffie — and he’s a daily reminder of just how much they mean to us”
I specialise in dog photography at our studio near Maidstone, Kent, creating fun, relaxed photoshoots that capture your best friend’s true personality.
Whether it’s a playful puppy or a loyal companion by your side, I’ll make the experience enjoyable and stress-free for both of you.
With over 35 years as a portrait photographer, I know how much these moments mean — and I’ll help you create portraits you’ll treasure forever – That’s why so many local dog owners choose me to capture their best friend’s story!
How a Dog Portrait Session Works
Don’t worry — you don’t need a perfectly trained dog to get amazing photos. Most of the dogs I photograph are excitable, distracted, or a little shy at first. That’s all part of their personality, and I work with it, not against it.
🐾 Sessions are relaxed and fun, with plenty of time for your dog to sniff around and settle in.
🐾 My studio is fully on one level, easy to access, and completely temperature controlled so every dog is comfortable year-round.
🐾 Parking is right outside the door, so arriving is stress-free — even in the rain!
My aim is simple: to capture the true spirit of your dog, so every image feels like them.
Capturing Your Dog’s True Character
Every dog is different — and that’s exactly what makes photographing them such a joy. From bouncy spaniels to gentle old souls, cheeky pups to calm companions, I work with dogs of all ages, breeds, and temperaments.
🐾 For excitable pups, I keep things playful with toys and games.
🐾 For older dogs, we take it slow and give them comfort.
🐾 For nervous rescues, I create a calm, reassuring environment so they feel safe.
Whether your dog is a whirlwind of energy or prefers to take life slow, I’ll adapt the shoot to them — capturing their unique personality in portraits you’ll treasure for a lifetime.

What Does It Cost?
A studio dog photoshoot with me normally costs £95, but right now I’m waiving the session fee — your shoot is completely free.
To secure your slot, there’s just a £30 booking deposit, which comes straight off any images or collections you choose afterwards. If you choose not to purchase, I’ll refund it in full.
That means there’s zero risk — you’re saving the session fee, and the only thing you’ll ever pay for are the portraits you truly love.
My Promise To You
I want you to be absolutely delighted with your portraits. If for any reason you don’t see images you’d like to order, I’ll happily arrange a free re-shoot or return your deposit in full.
Kind Words From Our Dog Clients

Great experience! We went to the studio for a photoshoot with our dog. Graham was very professional and polite and knew exactly how to get our dog’s attention for the camera – the whole experience was great and we got some amazing pictures of our furry friend. Highly recommended!!

From the first email and phone call Graham was so friendly and professional with super clear communication and helpful instructions. We had a brilliant time at the photo shoot and the photos are fantastic. We couldn’t be happier and thoroughly recommended Graham.

We took our fun-loving cockapoo, Ziggy, to a photoshoot with Graham, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Graham made us feel so welcome—and of course, Ziggy loved all the fuss and attention!
I would highly recommend Graham and will definitely be returning to capture more special memories in the future!

Dog Photoshoot FAQ’s
How long does a dog photoshoot last?
Most sessions last around an hour, but it really depends on your dog. Some settle straight away, others need a bit of time to relax and explore first. I never rush — we go at their pace, with plenty of breaks if needed, so the whole experience stays fun and stress-free.
My dog won’t sit still — is that a problem?
Not at all! I work with dogs every day, and very few of them sit perfectly on command (mine certainly don’t!). I use patience, toys, and plenty of tricks to capture natural expressions and character. Often the funniest, most heart-warming portraits come from those “in-between” moments when they’re just being themselves.
Can I be in the photos too?
Absolutely. Many people love to incorporate a few family shots, we just need to know a little bit in advance. These portraits often become real favourites because they show the bond you share.
Do you photograph more than one dog?
Yes — I often photograph two or more dogs together, it just all depends on size but we can discuss this before the shoot. We’ll do a mix of group shots and individual portraits so you have a variety of images to choose from.
Is there a minimum order?
No — there’s never any pressure. At your viewing you simply choose the images you love, and your deposit comes straight off your order (or is refunded if you decide not to buy). To give you a ballpark figure packages start from £150, with most families choosing to invest between £200 and £600 depending on their favourites.
The only thing to note is that any images not chosen at your viewing aren’t kept.
What payment methods can I use?
We accept all major cards and we can offer a pay over 3 months option with Klarna
